We support organizations that provide prevention and early intervention services, strengthen families, expand access to education and mentorship, promote mental health and emotional well-being, and address the social, economic, and environmental factors that influence a child’s ability to thrive.
Through partnerships with community-based organizations, schools, child welfare agencies, healthcare providers, and family-serving nonprofits, we invest in solutions that help children grow up safe, supported, and positioned for lifelong success. Our work spans the continuum from prevention and family security to permanency, youth development, mental health, housing stability, and successful transitions into adulthood.
Capacity Building
In partnership with Charity Navigator, the nation’s largest and most-utilized evaluator of charities, the Hobbs Foundation has become a long-time investor in the philanthropic sector by aiding in the expansion of Charity Navigator’s rating system in the areas of financial health, accountability and transparency to help improve the operational effectiveness of the nonprofit sector. Our capacity building initiatives with the help of Charity Navigator allows nonprofits and their donors assess how effectively organizations sustain their programs and services over time and their level of commitment to good governance, best practices, and openness to information. With the launch of ImpactMatters, nonprofits are able to evaluate how well they deliver on their mission, factors that influence success, and works collaboratively to help strengthen current and future objectives.
