Our Grantmaking Focus

We provide critical resources that address the barriers to school readiness, social and emotional well-being, and economic mobility. Our grants are allocated to targeted program initiatives that support children who are involved in the child welfare system, and those from disadvantaged communities.

How We Strengthen Communities

The Hobbs Foundation’s grantmaking objectives identify high-quality interventions that support each targeted issue area affecting children and youth in our Florida communities. We provide supplemental support to those organizations and program initiatives that have not only demonstrated positive outcomes in the lives of children but a progressive approach to problem-solving and a deep connection to the communities they serve.

The Core of Our Work

The focus of our grantmaking centers around attachment-based interventions, education, and strong social connections. In addition to support for essential care, our adaptive funding and a focus on meaningful experiences allows for underserved children to learn, engage and broaden their outlook for the future.

How We Invest In The Nonprofit Sector

In partnership with Charity Navigator, the Hobbs Foundation supports the advancement of evaluation tools to improve nonprofit development for organizations supporting children. We support the philanthropic community and help to maximize their impact in meeting the needs of underserved children.
